Provenance/Ancestry/Heritage:
So here's the scoop on this book. It is an unauthorized edition using the name Tarzan the likeness to the Edgar Rice Burroughs characters. It was one of the subjects in a lawsuit between Gold Star Books and the Edgar Burroughs Estate. Gold Star and New International Library were found guilty of copyright infringement. Gold Star was ordered to cease marketing the remaining copies of the book and to destroy them. This is one of the books that was sold prior to the court order. It is rare and desired among Tarzan collectors. The condition of this book is of the finest I have seen in this series. Of course, it is OK to own it, buy it or sell it. The issue was with the authors and publishers.
